For Integrated Behavioral Health Data Collection
Omaha, NE – Data management and analytics provider, H4 Technology, announced that it has been selected by the Colorado Department of Human Services to manage data integration, storage, and business intelligence for their mental health and substance abuse populations. Colorado is the second state, along with Nebraska, to rely on H4 Technology for their data management needs.
H4 Technology will deploy its Software-as-a-Service COMPASS Data Management and Analytics platform for administrators and providers affiliated with the Office of Behavioral Health. The COMPASS Analytics Platform will integrate disparate data silos from EMRs to access databases using standard formats like CCDA, HL7, and JSON. After applying an Electronic Master Patient Index (EMPI) and other normalization standards, resulting data will be available for business intelligence activities, case management, population health, financial reconciliation, and coordination with physical care providers.
“We are extremely excited to work with the State of Colorado on this important project”, said H4 Technology CEO Chris Henkenius. “Serving both physical and behavioral health clients, we understand the value of standards-based data management and strive to ensure providers have the data they need in the way they need it to serve their clients”.
H4 Technology has partnered with the National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors Research Institute, Inc. (NRI), to lend their behavioral health policy and process expertise to this solution.
“H4 Technology and NRI present several strategic advantages to the State of Colorado”, said NRI CEO Tim Knettler. “Between the two companies, our partnership has direct, relevant, and recent experience with public and private behavioral health organizations across the country, including a statewide deployment in Nebraska, and support to the State of Colorado. This experience grants us a unique insight and ability to provide a comprehensive solution that is unmatched in the industry.”
Included in this project are innovative capabilities including Encounter-Based Management, Consent, Grant Management, Health Information Exchange (HIE), and Provider Directory. The system will begin integration and customization activities immediately, with functionality rollout over the next 9 months.
